JDD 2024
On 29 and 30 January 2024, the University of Paris-Saclay and the Networks, Innovation, Territories and Globalisation (RITM) in collaboration with the AFEDEV are organising the Journées Doctorales du Développement. The aim of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for early-stage PhD students in development economics to present and discuss their work with other PhD students and faculty members from other institutions. This year’s edition follows on from last year’s workshop, which was held in Orléans.
AFEDEV
AFEDEV is an organisation founded with the aim of bringing together researchers in the field of development economics through a collaborative initiative. The launch of this project, focusing on the establishment of an academic association, began in September 2021. Subsequently, a Constituent General Assembly met in January 2022, officially forming a provisional steering committee. Each year, AFEDEV organises an international conference and two doctoral workshops, and also hosts sessions at the annual conference of the Association Française des Sciences Économiques (AFSE).
RITM
The RITM is the Economics and Management Research Centre of the University of Paris-Saclay. It was created in 2013 and brings together around 70 faculty members and doctoral students in economics or management, who are affiliated to three components of the University (Jean Monnet Faculty, Sceaux IUT, Faculty of Science). The research carried out at the RITM is multidisciplinary and covers subjects that cut across the fields of Economics and Management, in particular Digital Networks and Technologies, Innovation, Territorial Issues, Globalisation and Trade, as well as Urban Issues, Transport, Gender, Health, Artificial Intelligence, the Environment and Sustainable Development.
