ICDE 2026
6th International Conference on Development Economics
University Rouen Normandie and LERN are pleased to host the 6th International Conference on Development Economics (ICDE) of the French Association of Development Economics (AFEDEV), which will take place from July 2 to 3, 2026.
The ICDE objective is to bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of development economics and to provide a dynamic platform for discussing the latest research and challenges facing developing countries.
We welcome both empirical and theoretical contributions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: agriculture, climate change, energy policies, environmental issues, conflict, digitalisation and digital transition, economic history, employment, firm performance, economic growth, health, education, international trade, migration, monetary policy, population dynamics, gender, norms and culture, intra-household decisions, poverty, social protection, inequality, corruption, risk, insurance, taxation, vulnerability, governance, and institutions.
The conference places a strong emphasis on fostering dialogue across perspectives and disciplines, and actively encourages the participation of junior scholars as well as researchers from the Global South.

Funding:
We actively promote the participation of researchers currently living and working in low-income countries. A budget is available to help cover the expenses (travel, accommodation, and registration fees) for presenters attending ICDE. Applicants seeking financial support must notify it in a comment during submission.

Submission:
Full papers (in English or French) may be submitted for regular and poster sessions. All presentations will be given in English. Only one submission per author is permitted.
