Call for Submission – JDD Job Market Training 2024
The French Association of Development Economics (AFEDEV) contributes to the promotion of employment for young researchers in academic institutions, whether universities or research institutes, both nationally and internationally. The competition for academic positions is increasing, which necessitates specific training.
To help doctoral students prepare for their upcoming job market campaign, AFEDEV is organizing a job market training for the second consecutive year. This new edition, in collaboration with Cerdi, will take place on October 8th and 9th, 2024, in Clermont-Ferrand and will be held at the School of Economics of the University Clermont Auvergne.
The day will consist of 40-minute presentations followed by 10 minutes of questions. At the end of each session, doctoral students will attend 10-minute bilateral meetings with senior participants to discuss their presentations in more depth. A session offering advice and testimonials for CNRS and IRD competitions, as well as for university recruitment, will also be organized.
Candidates planning to apply for academic positions during the 2024-2025 year, either internationally or in France, are invited to submit their CV and job market paper by clicking the button below no later than September 10th. Candidates must be members of AFEDEV (membership here). No participation fee is required. AFEDEV’s scientific committee will inform candidates of the admission decision by September 20th at the latest.
